Ode Vest Knitting Pattern

Ode Vest Knitting Pattern
Ode is Olann’s quintessential vest slipover. This vest is designed to be cropped, and slightly over-sized, so you can wear it over your favourite dresses, tops and jumpsuits. The neckline is folded, for a soft, comfortable and elegant look. Ode has a deep armhole, designed so even your most voluminous sleeves will fit beneath, without bunching. The armhole tapers at the bottom so it fits beautifully. The duplicate stitch running down the back of the vest is optional but adds a beautifully finished detail. Ode is a story of perseverance, determination, tenacity and dedication. It’s about writing your own story, changing the narrative and finding the light. There are no details on Ode that haven’t been carefully considered.
The Ode Vest is worked by knitting the back yoke first, then the front shoulders are picked up, the neck is shaped and then joined to work the front yoke. Below the armholes the back and front are joined to work in the round to the ribbed hem. Finally, the armholes and collar are picked up and worked in 1x1 ribbing to complete the trim.
Size Guide
The Ode Vest is designed to have 7.5-8 inches/19-20.5 cm of positive ease, for a looser fit. Choose a size with a finished bust circumference 7.5-8 inches/19-20.5 cm larger than your bust. For a neater fit, size down, or for a roomier fit, size up.
